About the Role
Cardinal International Hotel, Awka, in partnership with Wertvoll Consulting Services, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Officer to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all hotel facilities, equipment, and infrastructure operate at peak efficiency, providing a safe, comfortable, and seamless environment for our esteemed guests.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities, guest rooms, and public areas to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest complaints reported by the front desk or housekeeping teams.
- Supervise third-party contractors and technicians during major repair or installation projects.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of maintenance tools, spare parts, and equipment supplies.
- Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and environmental regulations across the property.
- Minimum of Ordinary National Diploma (OND), Trade Test, or relevant certification in mechanical, electrical, or building services.
- Proven professional experience as a maintenance technician or officer, preferably within the hospitality or real estate sector.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and practical technical skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
