About the Role
SLB (Schlumberger) is the world’s leading provider of technology and integrated project management solutions for the global energy industry. We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Logistics Specialist Intern to join our team in Nigeria. In this role, you will support the execution of daily logistics operations, ensuring that all safety, service level, and delivery timelines are strictly met in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide reliable support for transport requests and closely monitor delivery dates to achieve consistent on-time delivery.
- Support equipment loadout plans in strict adherence to planning standard operating procedures.
- Monitor shipment and truck routings, leverage cargo consolidation, and maximize backload opportunities.
- Review work orders, track shipment movements, and oversee overall shipment execution.
- Identify potential logistics network improvement projects and operational efficiency opportunities.
- Ensure full compliance with international transport regulations and local logistics laws in Nigeria.
- Track cargo status continuously and monitor vendor performance metrics.
- Update and maintain Import and Export systems accurately.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related social science field.
- Must be a recent graduate within two years of post-graduation.
- Mandatory completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite tools.
- Working knowledge of logistics rules, regulations, and processes within Nigeria.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
- Working knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.
