About the Role

Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme Ltd/Gte (ECEWS) is a leading indigenous non-profit organization dedicated to improving access to qualitative healthcare, education, and economic strengthening services across Nigeria. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Logistics Officer to join our team and contribute to the successful implementation of our donor-funded public health initiatives. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring uninterrupted access to life-saving health commodities by managing supply chain operations effectively at the state level and collaborating closely with health facility teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support commodity logistics and supply chain activities at the state level to ensure efficient distribution and availability of health products.
  • Support facility-level commodity forecasting, ordering, and stock management to prevent stockouts and wastage.
  • Conduct routine supportive supervision on logistics management practices to maintain high standards of inventory control.
  • Support the utilization of Logistics Management Information System (LMIS) data for accurate commodity tracking and reporting.
  • Deliver against the approved GHSD milestone plan and quarterly performance targets, integrating services across HIV, TB, malaria, and MNCH platforms.
  • Assist in generating timely reports on commodity availability, consumption rates, and overall stock status.
  • Facilitate the progressive transfer of supply chain functions to Government of Nigeria ownership in alignment with project transition goals.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a first degree in Pharmacy, Laboratory Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in health commodity logistics, preferably within donor-funded public health projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise and good knowledge of modern supply chain management practices and inventory control systems.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in data management and working with electronic logistics management systems.
