About the Role
Myrtle Management Consultants is partnering with a leading organization to recruit a dynamic and results-driven Logistics Officer. In this role, you will coordinate the efficient movement of personnel, equipment, materials, and supplies to support critical Oil and Gas operations, projects, and offshore/onshore activities across Nigeria. You will join an esteemed operational improvement firm with over 25 years of hands-on expertise delivering performance enhancements to global industry leaders.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate transportation and movement of personnel, equipment, materials, and supplies for operational and project requirements.
- Plan and monitor logistics activities, crew movements, mobilization, demobilization, and corporate travel arrangements.
- Liaise effectively with transporters, vendors, marine operators, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers.
- Coordinate the delivery, receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials and equipment while tracking shipments for timely delivery.
- Prepare comprehensive logistics schedules, movement plans, and accurate supporting documentation.
- Maintain precise records of vehicles, equipment movements, deliveries, and ongoing logistics activities.
- Monitor logistics expenditures and actively support cost-control initiatives.
- Ensure strict compliance with company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), security, and logistics procedures.
- Resolve transportation, delivery, documentation, and scheduling issues promptly.
- Prepare regular daily, weekly, and monthly logistics reports.
- Possess a B.Sc. or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant logistics experience specifically within the Oil and Gas industry.
- Demonstrated experience supporting offshore and onshore operations is highly desirable.
- Thorough knowledge of Nigerian Oil and Gas logistics and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and enterprise logistics or ERP systems.
- Strong core competencies in vendor management, inventory handling, crew mobilization, and HSE awareness.
