About the Role
Westfield Consulting is a premier management consultancy firm dedicated to increasing business performance and driving organizational success. We are currently recruiting a dynamic Logistics Controller on behalf of our esteemed client in the energy and environmental services sector. In this pivotal role, you will plan, coordinate, and control diverse logistics operations encompassing petroleum products marketing, refinery operations, waste management, environmental consultancy, haulage, and marine services. You will ensure the timely, cost-effective, safe, and fully compliant movement of products, equipment, materials, and personnel across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and manage daily dispatch and interstate movement of petroleum products (PMS, AGO, DPK, LPG) while ensuring adherence to NMDPRA permits and safety protocols.
- Coordinate industrial and domestic waste collection, transportation, and disposal in strict alignment with NESREA and LAWMA regulations.
- Supervise marine logistics, including vessel scheduling, offshore/onshore crew transport, and equipment deployment for environmental consultancy operations.
- Oversee fleet management, preventive maintenance schedules, GPS tracking systems, and driver safety behaviors.
- Ensure full regulatory compliance with FRSC, NIMASA, DPR, NESREA, and ISO 14001 standards.
- Manage logistics budgets, negotiate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, and generate comprehensive operational reports.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport Management, Business Administration, or Engineering.
- 6 to 10 years of professional experience in logistics and transport management, with at least 3 years specifically within the Oil and Gas, FMCG, or waste management sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in petroleum products dispatch, hazardous materials handling, and regulatory compliance.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CILT or CIPS are a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in fleet tracking software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and advanced MS Excel.
