About the Role

Action Against Hunger | ACF Nigeria LTD/GTE is a global humanitarian organization committed to ending world hunger, saving the lives of malnourished children, and providing communities with access to safe water and sustainable solutions. We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Logistics and Supply Chain Manager to be based in Sokoto, Nigeria, to oversee our critical base operations and supply chain infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and optimize the end-to-end supply chain including procurement, warehousing, transportation, and inventory control to ensure timely humanitarian programme delivery.
  • Oversee base operations infrastructure, facilities management, water and power utilities, and efficient fleet utilization.
  • Supervise ICT and communications systems, ensuring reliability and adherence to organizational standards.
  • Support the Field Coordinator in developing and implementing base security plans and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and build the capacity of the base logistics team while promoting staff development and performance management.
  • Coordinate logistics activities for partner-implemented projects and provide targeted capacity-building support.
  • Produce accurate monthly logistics reports and monitor key performance indicators to drive operational excellence.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing and Supply, or a related field; a Master's degree is an advantage.
  • Professional certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CIPS, CILT) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain management within humanitarian, development, or I/NGO settings.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and capacity-building skills with proven experience mentoring staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and excellent organizational, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Fluency in both English and Hausa languages, with exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
  • High level of integrity, resilience, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in challenging environments.
