About the Role
Egbin Power Plc is one of the largest and most critical additions to the electricity sector in Nigeria, dedicated to meeting the rapidly growing power demand in Lagos and its environs. As a key player in powering the nation, we are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Logistics Manager to join our esteemed team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this vital role, you will ensure the seamless availability of high-quality materials for our plant while optimizing supply chain efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities- Take complete ownership of shipping, transportation, and logistics arrangements for all company procurement activities.
- Manage third-party logistics service providers, freight forwarders, and port authorities to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of INCOTERMS, customs regulations, and statutory import clearances to optimize transactions.
- Develop and execute logistics plans for inbound and outbound spares, recommending ideal shipping methods and routings.
- Implement cost-saving strategies, including exploring tax exemption windows and duty management.
- Ensure strict compliance with the Nigerian Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and other relevant data policies.
- Uphold QHSE policies and support the Integrated Management System standards (ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001).
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Transportation, or Engineering.
- A post-graduate degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of proven experience in logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations.
- Strong working knowledge of regulatory norms regarding taxation, duties, and import policies in Nigeria.
- Exceptional negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship skills.
