In this vital role, you will facilitate the lending process by rigorously assessing creditworthiness, managing disbursements, and ensuring timely collections while maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Review and evaluate loan requests, thoroughly assessing clients financial status and credit history.
- Analyze potential risks and make informed decisions to approve or reject loan applications.
- Contact clients directly to gather necessary financial data, documentation, and verification details.
- Ensure all loan applications strictly adhere to company policies, internal credit guidelines, and relevant legal or regulatory requirements.
- Follow up proactively with clients regarding loan renewals and monitor the repayment progress of existing loans.
- Maintain accurate records of all loan disbursement and collection activities to ensure portfolio health.
- Minimum of an SSCE or OND qualification from a recognized institution.
- Proven work experience as a Credit Officer, Loan Officer, or in a similar financial services role.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail in assessing financial risks.
- Ability to work independently and meet targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with local lending practices and regulatory frameworks in Nigeria is a strong advantage.
