About the Role
Gemameg Company Nigeria Limited is a leading consultancy firm providing comprehensive staffing and operational support services across Nigeria. We are currently recruiting a skilled and dedicated Loader Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy wheel loaders to transport, load, and manage bulk materials while maintaining strict safety and operational standards on site.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate heavy wheel loaders to scoop, lift, transport, and dump materials into haul trucks, hoppers, or designated stockpiles.
- Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections on equipment, checking fluid levels, tire pressure, hydraulics, and brakes.
- Assist with site preparation, clearing debris, leveling surfaces, and backfilling excavations according to project requirements.
- Ensure efficient material loading without overloading, maintaining even distribution for safe transport.
- Clean equipment cabs, lubricate moving parts, and promptly report mechanical faults to the maintenance team.
- Adhere strictly to site safety guidelines, local regulatory compliance, and proper PPE protocols at all times.
- Minimum of Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE/WAEC/NECO) or equivalent educational qualification.
- Valid heavy equipment driver's license and recognized certified operator training certificate.
- 2 to 5 years of proven hands-on experience operating wheel loaders or similar heavy construction machinery.
- Strong spatial awareness, hand-eye coordination, and excellent maneuverability skills.
- Basic knowledge of heavy machinery mechanics and routine preventative maintenance.
