About the Role

We are currently recruiting a skilled and dedicated Loader Operator to support our expanding industrial and construction site operations. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to handle, move, and load various bulk materials while maintaining the highest standards of workplace safety and equipment care.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate heavy wheel loaders to scoop, lift, transport, and dump materials into haul trucks, hoppers, or designated stockpiles.
- Perform comprehensive pre- and post-trip safety inspections on equipment, checking fluid levels, tires, hydraulics, and brakes.
- Clear debris, level surfaces, and backfill trenches or excavations according to site specifications and supervisor instructions.
- Ensure even material distribution during loading to prevent truck overloading and maintain safe transport conditions.
- Conduct basic routine maintenance, including cleaning machine cabs, lubricating moving parts, and reporting mechanical faults promptly.
- Adhere strictly to site safety protocols, Personal Protective Equipment guidelines, and local regulatory standards.
- Minimum of Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE/WAEC/NECO) or equivalent qualification.
- Must possess a valid heavy equipment driver license or recognized operator training certification.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience of 2 to 5 years operating wheel loaders or similar heavy construction machinery.
- Exceptional spatial awareness, hand-eye coordination, and precision maneuvering skills.
- Basic knowledge of heavy machinery mechanics and preventative maintenance practices.
- Ability to work effectively in demanding weather conditions and high-noise industrial environments.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with spotters, truck drivers, and site managers.
