About the Role
Golden Bell's Multi Concepts (GBMC) Limited is a premier hospitality consulting and management firm dedicated to delivering exceptional service and operational excellence. We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Purchasing Officer to join our Procurement and Stores department at our Port Harcourt office located along Peter Odili Road. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining our high standards by ensuring the seamless acquisition of quality goods and services required for our hospitality operations.
Key Responsibilities- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure the best prices, terms, and quality for hospitality supplies and equipment.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including generating purchase orders, tracking shipments, and ensuring timely delivery to stores.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and conduct routine audits to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand their material and supply requirements, ensuring alignment with project timelines and operational needs.
- Evaluate vendor performance regularly to ensure consistent compliance with quality standards, delivery schedules, and pricing agreements.
- Prepare comprehensive procurement reports, purchase summaries, and cost-analysis documents for management review.
- Minimum of a Bachelor Degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Procurement Officer, or similar role, preferably within the hospitality or retail sector.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting relationships with vendors.
- Proficiency in using procurement software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Reside in or be willing to work around the Peter Odili area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
