Cutting-Edge International Academy, a premier private educational institution located in GESSE Phase II, Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, is seeking a passionate and qualified Literature Teacher. Key Responsibilities- Prepare comprehensive lesson notes and schemes of work before every class and submit them weekly to the HOD for review.
- Deliver engaging, student-centred Literature lessons that inspire critical thinking and a love for reading.
- Administer, mark, and record continuous assessment (CA) scores accurately and strictly by stated deadlines.
- Identify struggling students proactively and provide tailored extra support to improve learning outcomes.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, school programmes, club activities, and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training sessions.
- Prepare learners thoroughly for internal assessments as well as external examinations like WAEC and NECO using the NERDC curriculum.
- Possession of a B.Ed, B.Sc, or BA with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), or another relevant recognized teaching qualification.
- Mandatory TRCN registration or a strong, demonstrable willingness to register upon employment.
- Minimum of 1 year of proven teaching experience with exceptional subject mastery and classroom management skills.
- Proficiency in English; bilingual proficiency in Arabic is an added and highly valued advantage.
- Computer literacy, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with the NERDC curriculum, WAEC, and NECO examination standards.
