As a Librarian I, you will play a pivotal role in managing information resources, supporting advanced academic research, and enhancing library services within a vibrant university environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and curate digital and physical information resources within the John Harris Library.
  • Provide professional reference, research, and liaison services to faculty members and students.
  • Develop and implement modern library programs, information literacy sessions, and user instruction initiatives.
  • Catalog, classify, and index library materials in accordance with established international standards.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to align library collections with curriculum and research needs.
  • Contribute to peer-reviewed publications and engage in continuous professional development and departmental research.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a First Degree with not below a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division with a relevant PhD.
  • Must hold a Master of Library Science (M.L.S.) degree or a Master's degree in a related academic discipline.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of active teaching or relevant professional library experience.
  • At least one (1) credible peer-reviewed publication in recognized academic journals.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in modern library management systems, digital archiving, and electronic resource management.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills tailored for an academic setting.
