About the Role
Prime Montessori Nursery and Primary School (PMS) is dedicated to arresting the falling standard in the educational sector by providing qualitative and balanced education. We are currently looking for a passionate and enthusiastic School Librarian to join our dynamic team and help shape the intellectual curiosity of our young learners in a well-structured academic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Organize, maintain, and update the school library's physical and digital collection of books and learning materials.
- Introduce innovative strategies to cultivate a lifelong love of reading and independent learning within children.
- Assist students and teachers in locating, selecting, and effectively utilizing library resources for research and class projects.
- Utilize Library Management Software and Microsoft Office tools to catalog books, track inventory, and manage borrowing systems.
- Create a welcoming, quiet, and conducive environment that encourages students to visit and study regularly.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) Degree in Library and Information Science.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in a school or similar educational setting.
- Strong working knowledge of modern library organization, cataloging standards, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and specialized Library Management Software.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to engage children patiently and effectively.
