About the Role
Our Lady & St. Francis Catholic College (OSCCO), Osogbo is an elite, co-educational secondary school operating under the corporate proprietorship of the Catholic Diocese of Osogbo. We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified Librarian to manage our school library, foster a love for reading among our students, and support the academic excellence of our institution.
Key Responsibilities- Manage, organize, and classify library books, digital resources, and educational materials efficiently.
- Create a welcoming, quiet, and conducive environment for student study and research.
- Assist students and teachers in locating, selecting, and utilizing appropriate educational resources.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee the borrowing and return of library materials.
- Promote literacy and digital resource utilization through engaging school-wide reading programs.
- Ensure the library environment aligns with the moral and academic standards of the college.
- Possession of relevant academic qualifications in Library Science, Information Science, or a related field.
- Demonstrated good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students and staff.
- Strong commitment to excellence, professionalism, and institutional values.
- Prior working experience in a school library or educational setting will be an added advantage.
