Rubric Legal Advisory is a modern law firm providing strategic legal and HR solutions to startups, growing businesses, and established companies. We are currently seeking a motivated Legal Officer undergoing their NYSC service to join our vibrant team in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with drafting, reviewing, and vetting contracts, agreements, letters, and other legal documents.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and prepare well-structured legal opinions and summaries as required.
- Assist with corporate and regulatory compliance activities across various business sectors.
- Support the Legal and Compliance team with documentation, record-keeping, and compliance tracking.
- Assist with reviewing company policies, procedures, and internal operational documents.
- Monitor regulatory developments and identify relevant compliance requirements for corporate clients.
- Perform other legal and administrative duties assigned by the Legal and Compliance team.
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from a recognized university.
- Must be a currently serving NYSC Corps Member or eligible for immediate NYSC placement in Nigeria.
- Candidates awaiting or recently admitted to the Nigerian Bar are welcome to apply provided they are currently serving under NYSC.
- Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Good foundational knowledge of Nigerian corporate and commercial law.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Practical, hands-on exposure to corporate and commercial legal practice.
- Valuable mentorship from experienced corporate lawyers and advisors.
- Direct experience in contract drafting, negotiation support, and regulatory compliance.
