About the Role
Annuva Homes Limited, a proven performer in the Nigerian real estate sector and the fastest-growing real estate company in Lagos, is looking for a competent, detail-oriented, and results-driven Legal Officer. In this vital role, you will provide robust legal support across our construction, real estate, and corporate operations, safeguarding the company's interests while enabling seamless business expansion in a dynamic market.
Key Responsibilities- Draft, review, and meticulously manage contracts, deeds, and other essential legal documents for business operations.
- Review agreements with clients, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and strategic business partners.
- Conduct thorough legal due diligence on target properties for purchase, development, and joint venture transactions.
- Ensure strict compliance with relevant corporate, real estate, construction, and building regulations in Nigeria.
- Advise Executive Management on potential legal risks, regulatory changes, and proactive solutions.
- Provide dedicated legal support regarding construction contracts, claims, disputes, and project-related matters.
- Represent the company professionally in negotiations, stakeholder meetings, mediation, and legal proceedings.
- Liaise effectively with external solicitors, regulatory bodies, and government agencies on various legal matters.
- Possession of an LL.B. degree and formal qualification from the Nigerian Law School with a valid call to the Nigerian Bar.
- Demonstrated legal experience, with a strong background in real estate, construction, or corporate law practice.
- Exceptional contract drafting, negotiation, and comprehensive legal research abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of property transactions, land administration, and applicable Nigerian laws and regulations.
