About the Role

Kayode Obembe & Co. Limited is a reputable real estate firm incorporated and registered in Nigeria as a limited liability company. We are seeking a commercially minded Legal Officer to provide robust legal and regulatory support across our expanding real estate operations, protecting organizational interests while driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert legal advice on corporate, commercial, property, real estate, construction, and investment matters.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage diverse contracts, property documentation, and vendor agreements.
  • Oversee land transactions, development projects, and construction agreements to ensure full legal protection.
  • Monitor compliance with Nigerian laws, regulations, permits, and statutory licensing requirements.
  • Identify potential legal risks and recommend effective mitigation strategies for management review.
  • Manage legal disputes, claims, and negotiations in coordination with external solicitors.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all critical legal documents, permits, and corporate filings.
Qualifications
  • Possess an LL.B degree and must be called to the Nigerian Bar (BL).
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience, preferably within the real estate or property sector.
  • Strong working knowledge of Nigerian property, land, corporate, commercial, and contract laws.
  • Exceptional contract drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
