Extramileage Consults Limited is a leading full-service Human Resource Outsourcing company providing comprehensive business solutions to diverse corporate clients across Nigeria. We are currently seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and dynamic Legal Officer to join our professional team and manage various legal, regulatory, and compliance matters. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in mitigating organizational risks and ensuring that all operations strictly adhere to Nigerian laws and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts, agreements, and legal documents to protect company interests.
- Provide sound, timely legal advice and guidance to management on corporate governance, labor laws, and regulatory compliance.
- Liaise with external legal counsel, regulatory authorities, and relevant government agencies to resolve corporate disputes.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all legal documents, corporate filings, licenses, and statutory permits.
- Conduct legal research on emerging employment laws, industry trends, and business regulations affecting our outsourcing operations.
- Assist in resolving internal employment disputes and support the Human Resources department with disciplinary and compliance procedures.
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from an accredited university.
- Successful completion of the Nigerian Law School and a valid call to the Nigerian Bar (BL).
- Minimum of 2 years of active post-call legal experience, preferably within a corporate or commercial law environment.
- Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong proficiency in legal drafting, corporate compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
