About the Role
Busha is one of Africa’s leading digital asset platforms on a mission to onboard millions into the crypto economy by building innovative software and services for the future of finance. We are looking for a proactive Legal Associate to join our Legal and Compliance team as a commercial enabler, helping the business navigate complex regulatory landscapes across multiple jurisdictions while driving safe and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements while building internal tools such as clause libraries and legal playbooks.
- Conduct deep-dive legal research on virtual assets, blockchain technology, payments, and global financial services to provide clear, actionable advice.
- Support cross-border entity registration, regulatory approvals, permit management, and corporate secretarial functions across operating jurisdictions.
- Assist in managing regulatory inquiries, investigations, disputes, and litigation while serving as a liaison with external counsel and regulators.
- Possess 2 to 5 years of post-qualification legal experience within a fintech, fast-growing tech startup, or top-tier commercial law firm.
- Demonstrate a strong commercial enabler mindset with exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Showcase foundational knowledge of corporate law, commercial contracting, payments infrastructure, and digital asset frameworks.
