About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in Pharmacology and Toxicology to undergraduate pharmacy students.
  • Develop, update, and review curriculum content to align with current global best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and academic field placements.
  • Participate actively in departmental meetings, faculty committees, and university-wide academic events.
  • Conduct high-quality research, publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the academic reputation of the university.
  • Provide academic advising and career mentorship to students to support their personal and professional growth.
Qualifications
  • Possess a Ph.D. or a Master's degree in Pharmacology, Toxicology, or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
  • Demonstrated teaching experience at the tertiary education level with a strong portfolio of academic publications.
  • Current registration with relevant professional bodies, such as the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN), is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with a passion for student success.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary academic team.
