About the Role
Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Nigeria's premier higher institution, is seeking a dedicated and qualified Lecturer III to join the Department of Metallurgical Engineering within the School of Engineering. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in Metallurgical Engineering and related courses.
- Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and instructional aids to meet current industry standards.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student projects, research assignments, and industrial attachments.
- Conduct original research, publish scholarly articles, and actively participate in academic conferences and seminars.
- Provide academic advising and career mentorship to students to support their holistic development.
- Participate in departmental, school, and college-wide committee meetings and administrative duties as assigned.
- Possession of a Master’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering or a closely related relevant discipline, accompanied by at least two (2) conference or seminar papers.
- Alternatively, a good Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division in a relevant discipline, supported by at least three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience, plus two (2) conference or seminar papers.
- Serving Assistant Lecturers who have completed at least three (3) years of satisfactory service and presented two (2) conference or seminar papers are also eligible to apply.
