About the Role
Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Nigeria's premier higher institution, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic professional to join our prestigious School of Engineering as a Lecturer III in Mechanical Engineering. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of engineering education by imparting cutting-edge knowledge, fostering innovation, and mentoring the next generation of technological leaders within a thriving academic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, practical training, and tutorials for National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), and degree-level engineering students.
- Develop and update curriculum content in line with modern mechanical engineering standards and industry requirements.
- Supervise student research projects, laboratory sessions, and industrial training attachments.
- Conduct impactful academic research and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.
- Participate in departmental meetings, accreditation exercises, and college committees to support institutional growth.
- A Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely relevant discipline, accompanied by at least two (2) conference or seminar papers.
- Alternatively, a good Bachelor's degree with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division in a relevant discipline, supported by at least three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience, plus two (2) conference or seminar papers.
- Serving Assistant Lecturers with a minimum of three (3) years of satisfactory service and two (2) presented conference or seminar papers are also eligible to apply.
