Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, practical training, and tutorials to undergraduate students in Marine Engineering and related disciplines.
  • Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and instructional resources in alignment with current industry standards.
  • Supervise student research projects, industrial attachments, and academic dissertations at the National Diploma and Higher National Diploma levels.
  • Conduct relevant research, publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals, and present papers at academic conferences and seminars.
  • Participate actively in departmental administration, committee work, student mentorship, and community service initiatives within the college.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Marine Engineering or a closely related relevant discipline, supplemented by at least two (2) conference or seminar papers.
  • Alternatively, a good Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division in a relevant discipline, along with at least three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience and two (2) conference or seminar papers.
  • Serving Assistant Lecturers with a minimum of three (3) years of satisfactory service and two (2) presented conference or seminar papers are also eligible to apply.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills with a passion for academic mentorship and research development.
