About the Role
Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Nigeria's premier higher institution, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Lecturer III specializing in Ceramics to join our esteemed School of Arts, Design and Printing. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, practical workshops, and tutorials in Ceramics to undergraduate students across National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes.
- Develop comprehensive course materials, syllabi, and innovative teaching methodologies aligned with institutional standards.
- Conduct impactful research in ceramics, applied arts, and related disciplines, publishing findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Present research papers at academic conferences, seminars, and industry workshops.
- Supervise student projects, studio works, and provide academic advising and mentorship.
- Participate in departmental administrative duties, curriculum development, and community service initiatives.
- A Master’s degree in Ceramics or a relevant discipline, supplemented by at least two (2) conference or seminar papers.
- Alternatively, a good Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division in a relevant discipline, alongside at least three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience, plus two (2) conference or seminar papers.
- Serving Assistant Lecturers who have completed at least three (3) years of satisfactory service with two (2) presented conference or seminar papers are also eligible to apply.
