About the Role
The University of Benin (UNIBEN), a prestigious federal institution founded in 1970, is seeking a dedicated and qualified academic professional to fill the position of Lecturer II in Veterinary Surgery and Radiology within the Department of Veterinary Medicine. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, practical training, and seminars to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Veterinary Surgery and Radiology.
- Supervise student research projects, clinical rotations, and academic progress.
- Conduct high-quality research, publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the advancement of veterinary science.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties and committees.
- Engage in community service and veterinary outreach programs organized by the university.
- Possession of a PhD or a Master's degree in Veterinary Surgery and Radiology or a closely related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years of teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- At least three (3) peer-reviewed publications in reputable academic journals.
- A first degree with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division accompanied by a PhD.
- Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., Veterinary Council of Nigeria).
