Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in software engineering and related computing courses.
- Assess and evaluate student coursework, assignments, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
- Contribute actively to departmental research projects, publications, and grant applications in collaboration with senior faculty members.
- Utilize technology-enhanced teaching tools and modern pedagogical methods to enrich the student learning experience.
- Mentor undergraduate students, offering academic guidance and career counselling.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and university-wide committee assignments.
- Engage in continuous professional development through research, conferences, and industry collaborations.
- A Ph.D. or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field from a recognized and accredited university.
- Previous teaching experience in a tertiary institution or relevant professional software industry experience.
- Demonstrated passion for teaching and a commitment to promoting exceptional student learning outcomes.
- Strong familiarity with digital learning platforms and technology-enhanced teaching methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, alongside strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse academic team to achieve the department's strategic goals.
- Must have successfully completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program or possess a valid exemption certificate.
