About the Role
Margaret Lawrence University, a world-class private institution dedicated to academic excellence and character development across two distinguished campuses, seeks an experienced and accomplished legal scholar to join its Faculty of Law as a Lecturer II specializing in Public Law. Based in Galilee, Ika North-East LGA, Delta State, this role offers a platform to shape future legal professionals and contribute meaningfully to legal scholarship and practice in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality lectures and seminars in Public Law to undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Conduct rigorous legal research and publish scholarly work in peer-reviewed journals
- Supervise student research projects and mentor emerging legal scholars
- Participate in curriculum development and review initiatives
- Contribute to the university's moot court, law clinic, and clinical legal education programmes
- Engage in professional development and interdisciplinary scholarship
- Master of Laws (LLM) in an appropriate field specialization
- Active membership of the Nigerian Bar Association
- Demonstrated capacity for teaching excellence and research productivity
- Evidence of scholarly promise and sustained research engagement
- Internationally indexed publications (preferred)
- Research grants or funded project experience (preferred)
- Professional certifications relevant to legal practice (preferred)
- Experience in curriculum development and clinical legal education (preferred)
- Membership in recognized professional bodies and scholarly associations (preferred)
