We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Lecturer II in Public Health to join our esteemed Faculty of Allied Health Science. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the next generation of public health professionals through rigorous teaching, innovative research, and active community engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical sessions in Public Health to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Develop and update course curricula in alignment with current industry standards and NUC guidelines.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, dissertations, and academic field placements.
- Conduct high-impact research and publish peer-reviewed articles in reputable academic journals.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative tasks.
- Mentor students and provide academic guidance to support their personal and professional growth.
- Possession of a PhD in Public Health or a relevant field, OR a Master’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience as an Assistant Lecturer.
- Must have at least 5 peer-reviewed journal publications, including a minimum of 1 publication indexed in Scopus or Web of Science.
- Demonstrated ICT proficiency with the ability to utilize digital learning management systems.
- Active membership in relevant professional health bodies.
- Mandatory possession of an NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
