About the Role
Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University is seeking a dynamic, qualified, and passionate academic to join our esteemed Faculty of Law as a Lecturer II in Private and Public Law. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering high-quality education, conducting impactful legal research, and mentoring students who aspire to be leaders in the legal profession. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Private and Public Law courses.
- Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and academic papers at various levels.
- Conduct cutting-edge research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed legal journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and faculty committees as assigned.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to law students.
- Engage in community service and institutional advancement initiatives aligned with the university's mission.
- A mandatory PhD in Law with a strong specialization in Private Law, Public Law, or a closely related legal field.
- Demonstrated evidence of scholarly publications in reputable national and international journals.
- Previous teaching or research experience within a recognized tertiary institution is highly desirable.
- Membership in relevant professional bodies such as the Nigerian Bar Association is an added advantage.
