About the Role
Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Assistant Lecturer in Property and Commercial Law to join our esteemed Faculty of Law. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials in Property Law, Commercial Law, and related legal subjects to undergraduate students.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and curriculum content in line with contemporary legal standards and university guidelines.
- Assess, grade, and provide constructive feedback on student assignments, examinations, and research projects.
- Supervise undergraduate student research projects and provide academic advising and mentorship.
- Conduct relevant legal research and publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, faculty committees, and university community service initiatives.
- Minimum of a Master's Degree in Law (LL.M.) from a recognized and accredited university.
- Call to the Nigerian Bar (B.L.) and current active membership in the Nigerian Bar Association.
- Demonstrated potential or proven track record in academic research and scholarly publishing.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
