About the Role
Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Nigeria's premier higher institution renowned for academic excellence and entrepreneurial development, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated professional to join its esteemed faculty as a Lecturer II in the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources Engineering. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in Mineral and Petroleum Resources Engineering courses.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student projects, research work, and industrial attachments.
- Conduct high-impact academic and applied research, publishing findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate actively in departmental, school, and college-wide committee meetings and administrative duties.
- Contribute to curriculum development and the continuous improvement of academic programmes.
- Engage in community service and foster linkages with industry stakeholders to enhance practical learning.
- Doctorate degree in Mineral and Petroleum Resources Engineering or a closely relevant discipline, accompanied by three (3) conference or seminar papers and three (3) published journal articles.
- Alternatively, a Master's degree in a relevant discipline with at least three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience, three (3) conference or seminar papers, and three (3) published journal articles.
- Serving Lecturer III candidates holding a relevant Master's degree with at least three (3) years of satisfactory service, two (2) conference or seminar papers, and two (2) published journal articles are also eligible to apply.
