About the Role

Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University is seeking a passionate and qualified academic professional to join our Department of Medical Laboratory Science as a Lecturer II. As a Lecturer II, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional academic instruction, conducting impactful research, and mentoring the next generation of medical laboratory scientists in Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Medical Laboratory Science.
  • Develop, update, and review course curricula in alignment with university standards and national professional accreditation requirements.
  • Conduct high-quality research, publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the university's academic reputation.
  • Supervise undergraduate research projects, laboratory practicals, and student internships.
  • Participate in student academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance.
  • Contribute to departmental administration, faculty meetings, and university committee work as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Must hold a PhD in Medical Laboratory Science or a closely related biomedical science discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
  • Must possess relevant professional certification and current practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
  • Demonstrated track record of academic research and publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills suited for higher education teaching.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse academic and multicultural environment.
