Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate mechanical engineering courses.
  • Develop and update course curricula in line with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards and modern industry practices.
  • Supervise undergraduate research projects, dissertations, and mandatory student internships.
  • Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable academic journals.
  • Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties.
  • Mentor students academically and professionally to ensure holistic student development.
Qualifications
  • Must possess a First Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division. Candidates with a Second-Class Lower Division must also hold a PhD.
  • Hold a PhD or a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Candidates with a Master's degree must have at least three (3) years of tertiary teaching experience and a minimum of three (3) peer-reviewed journal publications.
  • Demonstrated expertise in specialized mechanical engineering sub-fields.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
