About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified Lecturer II to join our vibrant Department of Mechanical Engineering. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the future of engineering education in Nigeria, fostering critical thinking, and guiding undergraduate and postgraduate students toward professional success.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate mechanical engineering courses.
- Develop and update course curricula in line with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards and modern industry practices.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, dissertations, and mandatory student internships.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable academic journals.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties.
- Mentor students academically and professionally to ensure holistic student development.
- Must possess a First Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division. Candidates with a Second-Class Lower Division must also hold a PhD.
- Hold a PhD or a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Candidates with a Master's degree must have at least three (3) years of tertiary teaching experience and a minimum of three (3) peer-reviewed journal publications.
