About the Role
Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University is seeking a dedicated and passionate Lecturer II to join our vibrant Department of Mass Communication. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in various areas of Mass Communication.
- Develop and update course curricula in line with modern industry standards and academic requirements.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, dissertations, and academic fieldworks.
- Conduct high-impact research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and academic events.
- Provide mentorship, academic counseling, and career guidance to students.
- Possession of a mandatory PhD in Mass Communication or a closely related academic discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Demonstrated evidence of scholarly publications in reputable national and international journals.
- Prior teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution is a distinct advantage.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
