Christopher University invites dynamic, qualified, and passionate legal scholars to apply for the position of Lecturer II within our esteemed School of Law. As a Lecturer II, you will play an instrumental role in delivering high-quality legal education, fostering critical thinking, and preparing our students for impactful careers in both the public and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate lectures, seminars, and tutorials in various Law courses as assigned by the School of Law.
- Develop and update course curricula that align with contemporary legal standards and industry demands.
- Mentor, advise, and guide students on academic performance, career paths, and professional ethics.
- Conduct high-quality academic research and contribute to scholarly publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate actively in department meetings, curriculum development committees, and university community service initiatives.
- Assess and grade student assignments, examinations, and projects in a fair and timely manner.
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree in Law from a reputable and accredited university (fresh Ph.D. holders are welcome to apply without publication requirements).
- Alternatively, a Master's degree in Law or a relevant discipline with a minimum of three (3) years of post-qualification, full-time teaching experience in a tertiary institution.
- Demonstrated passion for teaching, student mentorship, and innovative pedagogical approaches.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Evidence of scholarly publications will be considered an added advantage for Master's degree holders.
