Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials in International Law and Jurisprudence to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Develop and update course curricula, teaching materials, and innovative assessment methods.
  • Conduct high-quality, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable local and international academic journals.
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
  • Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties.
  • Mentor students academically and professionally to foster holistic student development.
  • Engage in community outreach programs and provide expert consultancy services related to legal education and national development.
Qualifications
  • Must possess a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Law with a specific specialization in International Law, Jurisprudence, or a closely related field from a recognized and accredited university.
  • Evidence of strong academic publications in peer-reviewed journals is highly desirable.
  • Previous teaching or research experience at the university level will be an added advantage.
  • Membership in relevant professional bodies such as the Nigerian Bar Association or other professional legal associations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in modern educational technology and digital learning management systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
