Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical training in Information Science and Media Studies to undergraduate students.
  • Develop and update course curricula that align with contemporary industry standards and technological advancements.
  • Supervise undergraduate research projects, dissertations, and academic field placements.
  • Conduct high-quality academic research and contribute to peer-reviewed scholarly publications.
  • Participate actively in departmental meetings, curriculum reviews, and university committee assignments.
  • Mentor and advise students on academic progression, career pathways, and professional ethics.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a Ph.D. degree in Information Science, Media Studies, or a closely related discipline from a reputable university.
  • Alternatively, candidates holding a Master's degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification, full-time teaching experience in a tertiary institution are eligible to apply.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster strong linkages between academic instruction and practical industry applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and digital literacy skills essential for modern pedagogical delivery.
  • Evidence of scholarly publications will be considered a strong added advantage for Ph.D. holders.
