Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Lecturer II in Finance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the minds of future financial leaders through rigorous teaching, mentorship, and research.
- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Finance and allied management courses.
- Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and academic activities.
- Conduct high-impact research and publish peer-reviewed articles in reputable journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and faculty meetings.
- Leverage ICT tools for effective instructional delivery and student assessment.
- Engage in community service and university advancement initiatives.
Candidates applying for the Lecturer II (Finance) position must meet the following academic and professional criteria:
- Possession of a PhD in Finance or a closely related relevant field, OR a Master’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience as an Assistant Lecturer.
- A strong research profile evidenced by at least 5 peer-reviewed journal publications, including a minimum of 1 publication indexed in Scopus or Web of Science.
- Demonstrated ICT proficiency with competence in digital learning platforms.
- Active membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., ICAN, CIS, CFA, or equivalent).
- Compulsory possession of an NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
