About the Role

We are currently recruiting a Lecturer II in Film and Multimedia to contribute to our expanding Faculty of Social and Management Sciences at our campus in Benin City, Edo State. In this role, you will help shape the next generation of creative professionals by delivering world-class instruction, engaging in groundbreaking research, and mentoring students who are eager to make a global impact.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical training in film, multimedia, and related academic disciplines.
- Develop and update curriculum materials aligned with current industry standards and NUC guidelines.
- Supervise undergraduate student research projects, practical portfolios, and creative productions.
- Conduct high-level academic research and publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative tasks.
- Mentor and advise students on academic progression, career paths, and moral development based on university values.
- Possession of a PhD Degree in Film, Multimedia, Mass Communication, or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- At least two (2) years of cognate university teaching or research experience.
- Evidence of scholarly potential, ongoing research activities, and relevant academic publications.
- Demonstrated proficiency in ICT and modern digital teaching tools.
