Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials in undergraduate and postgraduate Economics courses.
  • Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and innovative teaching methodologies.
  • Supervise undergraduate research projects, dissertations, and provide academic advising to students.
  • Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and actively contribute to the academic profile of the university.
  • Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, meetings, and academic events.
  • Engage in community service and institutional advancement initiatives aligned with the university's mission.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a PhD in Economics or a closely related field from a recognized and accredited university.
  • Alternatively, a Master’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of academic experience as an Assistant Lecturer.
  • A strong publication record of at least 5 peer-reviewed journal publications, including a minimum of 1 publication indexed in Scopus or Web of Science.
  • Demonstrated ICT proficiency and competence in utilizing digital tools for modern teaching and research.
  • Active membership in relevant professional bodies within the field of economics or education.
  • Mandatory possession of a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge certificate or exemption letter.
