About the Role

We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified academic professional to join our Department of Cybersecurity as a Lecturer II. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering high-quality instruction, mentoring students, and advancing research in the fast-growing field of cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in cybersecurity and related computing disciplines to undergraduate students.
- Develop and update course curricula, teaching materials, and assessment methods in line with current industry standards and NUC guidelines.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, dissertations, and student internships.
- Conduct impactful research, publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and actively participate in academic conferences.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, supporting their professional and moral development.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university committees, contributing to the overall growth and administration of the institution.
- A Ph.D. degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline from a reputable and recognized university.
- Alternatively, candidates holding a Master's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification, full-time teaching experience in a tertiary institution are also eligible to apply.
- Strong evidence of academic publications in peer-reviewed journals will be a distinct and added advantage.
