Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Computer Science.
  • Develop, update, and review curriculum materials, course outlines, and teaching aids in alignment with modern technological trends.
  • Conduct cutting-edge research in specialized areas of computer science and publish findings in peer-reviewed, reputable academic journals.
  • Supervise undergraduate research projects, dissertations, and academic field placements.
  • Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties.
  • Mentor and advise students on academic performance, career paths, and professional development.
  • Engage in community service initiatives and university partnerships that apply technological solutions to societal problems.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
  • Demonstrated evidence of scholarly publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
  • Strong teaching capability with proven experience in lecturing or tutoring at the tertiary education level.
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages, software development tools, and computer science frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Membership in relevant professional bodies, such as the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) or Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN), will be an added advantage.
