Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in civil engineering courses.
  • Supervise undergraduate research projects, dissertations, and mandatory student industrial work experience.
  • Conduct high-impact research, publish in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and actively seek grants to advance departmental research goals.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, course design, and the continuous improvement of academic programs.
  • Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, administrative duties, and student academic advising.
  • Engage in community service and industry partnerships that align with the university philosophy and national development needs.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a PhD in Civil Engineering or a closely related and recognized discipline from a reputable university.
  • Demonstrated evidence of scholarly publications in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
  • Membership in relevant professional bodies such as COREN (Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria) is mandatory.
  • Strong teaching philosophy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to mentor diverse student populations.
  • Prior teaching or research experience in a tertiary academic environment will be an added advantage.
