We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified individual to fill the position of Lecturer II in the Department of Adult and Non-Formal Education. In this role, you will play a vital part in shaping the future of education by imparting knowledge, conducting impactful research, and mentoring the next generation of educators in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures and facilitate practical learning sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Adult and Non-Formal Education.
- Design, update, and evaluate curriculum courses in alignment with national educational standards and global best practices.
- Conduct high-quality academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, dissertations, and student field placements.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties and committees.
- Engage in community outreach programs aimed at promoting literacy, lifelong learning, and sustainable community development.
- A First Degree in Education or a related discipline with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division. Candidates with a Second-Class Lower Division must possess a PhD.
- A PhD or Master’s Degree in Adult and Non-Formal Education or a closely related field.
- At least three (3) years of relevant teaching and research experience at a tertiary institution.
- A minimum of three (3) quality peer-reviewed publications in academic journals.
- Demonstrated proficiency in modern pedagogical methods and digital learning tools.
