About the Role
The Federal University of Allied Health Sciences, Enugu (FUAHSE) is a newly established premier institution committed to transforming healthcare education and addressing the growing demand for skilled manpower in Nigeria's health sector. Following our transition from the Federal College of Dental Technology and Therapy, we now operate across six dynamic faculties and 17 specialized departments. We are currently seeking passionate, innovative, and qualified academics to join our faculty as a Lecturer II to drive our mission of excellence in teaching, research, and community service.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions within your specialized discipline.
- Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and innovative teaching methodologies aligned with global best practices in healthcare education.
- Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and academic field placements.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and secure academic grants.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties.
- Mentor students and provide academic counseling to foster holistic student development.
- Engage in community outreach programs aimed at improving public health outcomes in Nigeria.
- Possession of a relevant Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree from a recognized university; a Ph.D. in the relevant field will be a distinct advantage.
- Demonstrated evidence of academic research and publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Evidence of membership in relevant professional health or academic bodies.
