The Federal University Lafia invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced academics for the position of Lecturer I in Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Develop, update, and review curricula for courses within the department to meet national and international standards.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, dissertations, and academic field placements.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and attract research grants to the university.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, administrative duties, and community service initiatives.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
- Possess a Ph.D. degree in Veterinary Physiology, Biochemistry, or a closely related relevant field from a recognized institution, plus at least three (3) years of teaching experience and two (2) journal publications.
- Alternatively, applicants with a Ph.D. and relevant professional registration, plus two (2) published journal articles, will be considered.
- Candidates holding a Master's degree must have a minimum of six (6) years of teaching experience and five (5) journal articles, of which at least three (3) must be published.
- Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the university level and a strong portfolio of academic research.
- Membership in relevant professional bodies is a distinct advantage.
