The Federal University Lafia invites applications from qualified and passionate academics for the position of Lecturer I in Veterinary Parasitology. Established in 2011 in Nasarawa State, our institution is dedicated to academic excellence, innovative research, and expanding access to quality higher education in Nigeria. As a Lecturer I, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional instruction, mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students, and contributing to groundbreaking research within our expanding academic community.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in Veterinary Parasitology to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and innovative teaching methodologies.
- Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and academic field placements.
- Conduct high-impact research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed academic journals.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, as well as community service initiatives.
- Must possess a Ph.D. degree in Veterinary Parasitology or a closely related relevant field from a recognized institution, with at least three (3) years of teaching experience and a minimum of two (2) published journal articles.
- Alternatively, candidates with a Ph.D. and relevant professional registration accompanied by two (2) published journal articles will be considered.
- Candidates holding a Master's degree must have a minimum of six (6) years of teaching experience and five (5) journal articles, with at least three (3) successfully published.
