About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate academic professional to join our dynamic faculty as a Lecturer I in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning. In this role, you will shape the future of aspiring urban planners by delivering comprehensive lectures, mentoring students, and engaging in impactful research that addresses contemporary urban development challenges in Nigeria and beyond.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Urban and Regional Planning.
- Develop and update course curricula, syllabi, and teaching materials in line with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and studio works.
- Conduct high-quality academic research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties.
- Engage in community service and professional outreach related to urban planning and sustainable development.
- Must possess a Ph.D. Degree in Urban and Regional Planning or a closely related field from a recognized and reputable university.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Demonstrated evidence of scholarly publications in reputable national and international journals.
