We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified individual to join our academic community as a Lecturer I in the Department of Education, specifically focusing on Special Education. In this role, you will shape the minds of future educators, advance academic research, and contribute to the growth of our esteemed institution in Benin City, Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical training to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Special Education.
- Design, update, and evaluate course curricula in alignment with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Conduct high-level academic research and publish findings in reputable, peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties.
- Mentor students and provide academic guidance to support their professional and personal development.
- Possess a First Degree with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division accompanied by a PhD.
- Hold a PhD or a Master's degree in Special Education or a closely related field.
- Demonstrate a minimum of three (3) years of relevant teaching and research experience at a tertiary institution.
- Must have a minimum of three (3) peer-reviewed publications in reputable academic journals.
